In a gradual process, which began last July, the National Bank of Angola (BNA) has decided to issue a new Akz 5,000 banknote, available from this month of January. This will be the fifth ticket to be launched following the respective launches of the new 200 banknotes in July, 500 in September, 1,000 in October and 2,000 kwanzas in November 2020.
