Algeria : USD 60 billion energy investment by 2029

Algeria’s Ministry of Energy announced a total investment of USD 60 billion in energy projects by 2029, covering oil, gas, hydrogen, and renewables. As part of this plan, the first two solar plants of the 3,200 MW national initiative will be commissioned before the end of 2025. Located in El Ghrous (Biskra) and Tindela (El M’ghair), each plant will have 200 MW capacity. The program includes 22 solar plants aiming for 15,000 MW of renewable energy by 2035.
