Algeria: Tender for the purchase of 240,000 tons of corn for animal feed
Algeria, through the National Animal Feed Office (Onab), has launched a tender to purchase 240,000 tons of corn from Argentina and Brazil. Deliveries, scheduled for December 2024, will be split into six batches. This new purchase aims to strengthen stocks for the livestock sector, with annual corn imports reaching 5 million tons. The Algerian government is also continuing its strategy to develop local corn production.
