Algeria has launched the “Algeria Bid Round 2024” to explore and develop six strategic hydrocarbon areas, pre-qualifying 20 international companies. Managed by ALNAFT, the project aims to strengthen Algeria’s role in the global energy market with attractive fiscal conditions and existing infrastructure. Companies have until April 15, 2025, to submit proposals. The exploitation of these zones could increase Algeria’s energy production by 20 billion m³ annually.
