Algeria: OPEC+ to raise output by 206,000 b/d in May 2026
Algeria boosts production by 6,000 b/d under OPEC+’s April 2026 decision to raise output, aiming to reinforce international oil market stability.

On April 5, 2026, OPEC+ agreed that eight producing countries, including Algeria, will voluntarily increase their oil output by 206,000 barrels per day from May 2026, the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Mines said. Algeria will add 6,000 b/d to reach 983,000 b/d (OPEC+ data). The adjustment follows a review by the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee for January–February 2026 and aims to support global oil market stability.
