Algeria’s mining sector is showing promising new developments. The Minister of Energy, Mohamed Arkab, revealed that research conducted in 23 provinces has uncovered previously unknown mineral resources. These discoveries will help redefine the country’s mining map and create new industrial hubs. Exploration projects, particularly in Sétif, aim to extract polymetallic metals and deposits of zinc, lead, and copper. The ministry is also preparing permits for zinc exploitation projects in Hammam Guergour.
