Algeria : EU launches €1 million programme to boost organic agriculture

On July 1, 2025, the European Union launched a €1 million programme in Algeria titled “Agrobusiness: Innovation, Startups and Sustainable Agriculture.” The 24-month project aims to support Algeria’s regulatory framework for organic certification and labeling, helping local producers access EU markets. It will also foster green and circular economy jobs through agri-food innovation and align national standards with European norms.
