Algeria : Djen Djen Port aims for 10 million tons of exports by end of 2024

Since the beginning of the year, Djen Djen Port in Jijel has recorded a trade volume of 8 million tons, according to CEO Abdeslam Bouab. During a meeting on non-hydrocarbon exports, he expressed the ambition to reach 10 million tons by the end of 2024. To enhance handling capabilities, the port has invested 2 billion dinars in new equipment. Sofiane Chaib Setti, Deputy General Director of Algerian Qatari Steel, announced an export target of 800,000 tons of steel for a value of 480 million dollars this year.
