Algeria : Construction of solar photovoltaic power plants for the 2000 MWp project to begin in the first quarter of 2024

The construction phase of solar photovoltaic power plants under the Sonelgaz-led 2000 MWp project is set to begin in the first quarter of 2024, according to Green Energy Cluster Algeria.

Recalling that between the launch of the national and international call for tenders and the provisional award of contracts, the process took 8 months (February 2023 to October 2023), to which must also be added a few weeks for the signing of contracts, Green Energy Cluster Algeria indicated that « it is expected that the construction phase will begin during the first quarter of 2024 with the delivery of lots that will be staggered over the year 2024 and half of 2025. »
