Algeria: Air Algérie strengthens long‑haul fleet and launches three new international routes

Air Algérie is expanding its network with a new direct Algiers – Kuala Lumpur service launched on 29 March 2026, and the resumption of Algiers – Budapest from 1 April 2026, as well as Algiers – Addis Ababa, according to the airline’s official announcement. Additionally, on 31 March 2026, the carrier received its fourth Airbus A330‑900neo, named “Diaspora,” enhancing its modern long‑haul fleet with an aircraft capable of carrying over 300 passengers and offering improved fuel efficiency. This expansion reflects a strategic effort to boost connectivity across Asia, Europe and Africa amid rising long‑distance travel demand.
