Algeria: 2025 budget projects 4.5% GDP growth and trade surplus
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has signed the 2025 budget law, forecasting a 4.5% GDP growth between 2025 and 2026. Public spending is set at $126 billion, a 9.9% increase from 2024, while revenues are estimated at $63.6 billion. The budget anticipates a $61.7 billion deficit. Exports are projected at $50.9 billion, and imports at $49.07 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $4.83 billion. The budget also expects a balance surplus of $1.17 billion and foreign exchange reserves of $72.95 billion.
