In Algeria, fourteen mineral resources have been targeted for research and exploration in the country, since 2021. It was part of the new strategy to develop the country’s mineral wealth. This time, the focus was on economically important resources such as lithium, gold, sulfur, iron, lead, zinc, copper and other minerals which are now under scrutiny. At least 26 research teams were deployed in over 23 wilayas.
