Air transport : Air Algérie targets 10 million passengers in 2026

Air Algérie has set an objective to carry approximately 9.8 million passengers in 2026, a figure often rounded to 10 million in strategic communications, according to the airline’s official statement released at its 2026 Annual Summit in Algiers attended by CEO Hamza Benhamouda and ANAC Director General Hassan Boulfelfel. The airline reported a successful 2025 with 8.8 million passengers transported, up 11 % year‑on‑year. To meet its 2026 ambition, Air Algérie plans to expand its flight network internationally, modernize customer experience with digital and loyalty programme upgrades, and strengthen operational capabilities, including a modernized long‑haul fleet of A330neo aircraft and the development of the Domestic Airlines subsidiary focused on domestic routes.
