Air: Ethiopian Airlines to purchase five Boeing 777-8 freighters

Ethiopian Aviation Holding Group is expanding its fleet of dedicated freighters with the latest technology, fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft of the 21st century.

« In line with our history of leadership in aviation technology in Africa, we are pleased to sign this memorandum of understanding with our long-time partner Boeing, which will see us join a select group of launch airline customers for the fleet, » says the Chairman and CEO of Ethiopian Aviation Holding Group, Tewolde Gebremariam, with pride. He continues: « in our Vision 2035, we plan to grow our cargo and logistics business to become one of the world’s largest multimodal logistics providers on all continents. »

The company has 121 aircraft to transport passengers to 139 destinations, 237 routes and 306 daily flights.
