The African Development Bank Group, the World Bank, the African Union, and the Tanzanian government will host the Africa Energy Summit – Mission 300 on January 27-28, 2025, in Dar es Salaam. This event will bring together policymakers, development partners, and experts to accelerate access to electricity across the continent. It is part of the ambitious initiative to electrify 300 million Africans by 2030. Mission 300, a flagship initiative launched in April 2024 by the AfDB and the World Bank, aims to provide electricity access to 300 million Africans by 2030. The project relies on massive infrastructure investments and bold policy reforms to sustainably transform communities.
