Afreximbank : launch of first ultra-modern trade center in the Caribbean

The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) made history on March 27, 2025, by laying the foundation stone for its first African Advanced Trade Center (AATC) in Bridgetown, Barbados. The $180 million center will enhance trade between Africa and the Caribbean. It will include a CARICOM office, commercial spaces, a 100-room hotel, and facilities for SMEs. The project will create 1,000 jobs during construction and 300 permanent jobs upon completion.
