AfDB invests $55 billion for a more connected Africa

The African Development Bank Group has dedicated $55 billion over the past decade to enhance connectivity in Africa. Joy Kategekwa, Director of Regional Integration, announced this investment during the launch of the EAC 2023-2024 Analysis. This support aims to strengthen economic integration through the free movement of goods and services. A key project includes a railway connecting Burundi, Tanzania, and the DRC to boost trade in East Africa.
