AFC : successful first hybrid perpetual bond issuance of USD 500 million

Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) successfully issued its first hybrid perpetual bond worth USD 500 million at a 7.50% coupon rate, oversubscribed 1.5 times with USD 1.1 billion in orders. This fundraising boosts AFC’s financial strength and capital base. The instrument, recognized as 100% capital by Moody’s, provides AFC with the strategic flexibility to finance transformative infrastructure projects across Africa.
