Italy is deepening its partnership with Africa through the Plan Mattei, launched in July 2024. On May 8, 2025, an Italian delegation met the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Abidjan to boost cooperation. The Rome Process Financing Fund (RPFF), with over $170 million, supports sustainable infrastructure projects. The GRAF platform aims to mobilize up to €400 million for Africa’s private sector. Italy also committed nearly €299 million to the African Development Fund, fostering jobs and fighting hunger.
