On May 8, 2025, AfDB approved a $28.57M financing package for a 62 MWp solar plant in Sokodé. Cofinanced by Proparco and led by EDF, the $65.8M public-private project will produce 87 GWh/year and cut CO₂ emissions by 13,600 tons. It supports Togo’s goal of installing 200 MWp of renewable capacity by 2030.
