Uganda: $145.9 million to modernize a key road
The Ministry of Finance of Uganda has signed a financing agreement of $145.9 million with Citibank Uganda to modernize the 97 km Lusalira-Nkonge-Lumegere-Ssembabule road. This key route, which will connect the western region of the country to the national network, will facilitate access to natural resources, including mines and oil projects. This project is part of a broader initiative to strengthen transport infrastructure and stimulate economic growth in rural areas.
