Natural Gas: Perenco allocates 75% of its $2 billion investment budget to Africa in 2025

Perenco, a major player in the oil and gas industry, plans to allocate 75% of its $2 billion investment budget to Africa in 2025. A top priority for the company is Gabon, where it intends to develop an extensive network of gas pipelines connected to a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant with an annual production capacity of 700,000 tons.

According to the company’s CEO, Simondin, this strategic focus is driven by untapped gas reserves along the African coast, which are now central to Perenco’s ambitions. The company, already active in Gabon and Congo-Brazzaville, also plans to expand its licenses and acquire new oil assets.
