Zimbabwe: Successful launch of ZimSat-2, its second observation satellite

On November 5, Zimbabwe successfully launched ZimSat-2, its second Earth observation satellite, from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia. As the successor to ZimSat-1, launched in 2022, this satellite will enhance the country’s geospatial capabilities for agriculture, disaster management, and resource mapping. Initial data confirms the optimal functioning of all subsystems.
