Turkey: Over $35 billion in trade exchanges with Africa in 2023

At the Djibouti summit with 14 African nations this weekend, Turkey reaffirmed its commitment to deepening commercial, economic, and political ties with Africa. Ankara also encouraged African countries to support the Palestinian cause while advocating for the African Union’s inclusion in the G20 and reform of the UN Security Council. Turkish-African trade exceeded $35 billion in 2023, highlighting Ankara’s growing engagement with the African continent.
