Ghana : the United Arab Emirates invests $30 million for biodiversity
The United Arab Emirates has announced a $30 million investment in Ghana to support projects focused on biodiversity and climate. This commitment arises from a letter of intent signed by UAE Minister of Climate Change, Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, and Ghanaian Minister of Lands, Samuel Jinapor. This partnership, part of the « Resilient Ghana » strategy, targets six priority areas, including reforestation and agroecology, while promoting gender equality and youth empowerment. This support aims to enhance afforestation efforts while improving the living conditions of local communities.
