According to an ECA report, Africa is set to dominate the top 10 fastest-growing economies in 2024, with Niger, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, DRC, and Rwanda leading the pack. Investments in infrastructure and the mining industry will drive this growth. However, challenges persist, such as increasing poverty and inequality, demanding bold economic and social policies to achieve the SDGs. Revitalizing intra-African trade, mobilizing domestic resources for the SDGs, and prudent debt management are crucial for ensuring sustainable growth.
