Algeria : establishment of free trade zones with 5 continent countries

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune announced the creation of free trade zones with five African countries in 2024: Mauritania, Tunisia, Libya, Mali, and Niger, during the NEPAD meeting. The objective is economic development and continental integration through infrastructure improvement and public/private partnerships. Algeria is launching large-scale projects, including the trans-Saharan route and the Tindouf-Zouerate link.
