Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS), based in Bellara in the wilaya of Jijel, has exported 700,000 tonnes of concrete iron and steel coils worth $400 million to various international markets in 2023, an increase of more than 150% compared with 2022, when 240,000 tonnes were exported for some $160 million.
Sofiane Chaïb Setti, Deputy Managing Director of AQS, was quoted by APS as saying this.
