More than 1,000 investors, business delegates and entrepreneurs will attend the first edition of Norrsken Africa Week in Kigali on November 8 and 9.

Held at the Norrsken East Africa Campus, which bills itself as Africa’s largest hub for technological innovation and entrepreneurship, Norrsken Africa Week aims to connect global investors from Europe and the Middle East with entrepreneurs, investors and government delegates from across Africa.

The world of finance may be cyclical, but the trusted relationships that support innovation and unlock capital don’t have to be cyclical

Funding to African startups declined to $1 billion during the first Half of 2023, contrasting with $1.5 billion in the second half of 2022 and $1.8 billion in the first half of 2022. The world of finance may be cyclical, but the trusted relationships that sustain innovation and unlock capital, do not need to be cyclical. Norrsken Africa Week is designed to function as a bridge facilitating connections between capital allocators and innovators in Africa.

To this end, VC firms from Africa and Europe, representatives of fund of funds and development banks, a delegation of European companies, government officials and regulators, founders and startup support organizations have been invited to attend.
