The Zimbabwean government has announced the continuation of the use of foreign currencies until December 31, 2030. The government had previously announced that the multi-currency system in force in the country since 2019 would end in 2025. This announcement, however, had raised uncertainties in the banking sector, which pushed some banks to refuse to grant loans beyond 2025.
