Francia Marquez, the first black woman to hold the vice presidency in Colombia, began an official visit to Africa on May 12. The tour, which is meant to be historic, is however being criticized and mocked by the right-wing opposition, which considers it useless and costly. The internationalists, on the other hand, consider it « strategic ». After South Africa, Francia will travel to Kenya and Ethiopia.
