Mauritania: The mining industry brought in 320 billion MRO (8 billion euros) in two years

This was announced by the latest report from the National Commission for the Extractive Industries and Transparency Initiative on January 7. Revenues stood at 120 billion MRO (3 billion euros) in 2020 and 200 billion (5 billion euros) in 2021, according to the report. The presentation attended by Prime Minister Mohamed O. Bilal and Minister of Oil, Energy and Mines Abdessalam ould Mohamed Saleh was aimed at promoting the adoption of transparency in public life. In this vein, a caravan heading to the different wilayas to popularize the content of the report was announced.
