The reopening of most sectors of the economy in 2021 saw lower inflation in the prices of goods and services, allowing Uganda to record a decline in its inflation rate during 2021, Uganda’s statistics agency announced Dec. 31.
The average annual inflation rate for fiscal year 2021 was 2.2%, down from 2.8% in 2020, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) said.
