Following a rebel attack in the south of the country, 2 peacekeepers (a Gabonese and a Moroccan) were killed last Monday. The UN has condemned the murder of these elements of the minusca (United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic). The ambush in which they fell took place 17 km from Bangassou, the capital of the Mbomou prefecture in the south of the country.
