Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi, Botswana President, recently launched the Sat-1 Project or Botswana Satellite Technology in Gaborone. This is a satellite project piloted by the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST). In his view, it will be a giant leap in realizing his country’s ambition to become a space technology-driven economy.
