Gabon Ausar Energy and CDC launch construction of the Ndjolé hybrid power plant
Construction work on a hybrid power plant in Ndjolé has started in the province of Moyen-Ogooué in western Gabon. The plant is being built by Ausar Energy, a subsidiary of the French group Engie, which works on behalf of Caisse des Dépôts et consignation (CDC) in Gabon, according to information relayed by Afrik 21. The Ndjolé hybrid plant will consist of 1,445 solar panels and solar inverters « installed to the nearest millimeter on the basis of a GPS plan on driven piles made of galvanized steel ». The entire system will produce 400 kWp of electricity. The photovoltaic solar power plant will be supported by a diesel generator.
