In Côte d’Ivoire, arrivals at Ivorian ports amounted to 1.356 million tonnes (Mt) on January 26, according to exporters’ estimates, up 0.4% compared to the same period in the previous season. (1.35 Mt). As for Ghana, according to Cocobod, arrivals of classified and sealed cocoa (G&S) reached 596,000 tonnes on January 16 against 591,000 tonnes over the same period in 2018/19. Cocoa production in 2019/20 is expected at 850,000 tonnes, according to Cocobod forecasts.
