Invest in Ethiopia: $13.1B investment deals signed

According to an official statement from the Ethiopian Investment Commission, Ethiopia signed $13.1 billion in investment agreements on March 27 2026 at the Invest in Ethiopia conference in Addis Ababa. The deals span renewable energy, manufacturing, real estate, mining and green ammonia. They include a $10 billion commitment from Chinese firm Ming Yang Smart Energy Group for green ammonia and electrical equipment manufacturing, $2 billion for a manufacturing zone investment, and additional hundreds of millions for solar, mining and real estate projects. Commission head Zeleke Temesgen noted that swift implementation will be essential to turning these commitments into actual projects.
