Ghana: return to domestic bond market with a 7-year issuance after more than 2 years
After over two years without long-term issuance, Ghana resumed domestic borrowing in March 2026 with a 7-year bond, according to official data from the Ministry of Finance Ghana and the Bank of Ghana. The move follows the 2023 debt restructuring and aims to extend the maturity profile while rebuilding investor confidence, amid macroeconomic stabilization supported by the Fonds monétaire international program.
