EAC : Heads of State Summit on March 7, 2026 in Arusha to Strengthen Regional Integration

Leaders of the eight East African Community (EAC) Partner States will meet for the 25th Ordinary Heads of State Summit in Arusha, Tanzania on March 7, 2026, according to the East African Community Secretariat. As the EAC’s highest decision‑making organ, the summit will review progress on regional programmes, institutional reforms and strategic initiatives for economic integration and cooperation. A key highlight will be the launch of the EAC Customs Bond, a single regional customs guarantee to streamline goods movement. Leaders are also expected to adopt the 7th Development Strategy (2026–2031) aligned with the EAC Vision 2050 and AU Agenda 2063 to advance regional competitiveness and resilience.
