Burkina Faso : $1.4bn UN deal to boost food sovereignty and resilience 

Burkina Faso and the United Nations system signed a CFAF 850.2bn (around $1.4bn) financing agreement in Ouagadougou on Feb. 6, 2026, covering 2025-2030. 

The partnership funds three transformative programmes: sustainable food systems, humanitarian-development-peace resilience, and stabilization of fragile regions, supporting the national RELANCE plan.
