Ethiopia : export earnings top $5.1 billion in first half of 2025‑26

In the first six months of the 2025‑2026 fiscal year, Ethiopia generated over $5.1 billion in export earnings, surpassing its initial target of $4.42 billion and achieving 120 % of the goal, the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration reported. This result marks an increase of $1.83 billion compared with the same period last year and reflects the impact of ongoing trade reforms. The government is pursuing a $9.4 billion export revenue target by fiscal year‑end, emphasizing trade efficiency, market access and sustainable growth.
