Rwanda and Togo signed on January 16, 2026, a visa waiver allowing all passport holders to travel freely between the two countries. The agreement was signed in Lomé by Rwanda’s Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe and his Togolese counterpart Robert Dussey, alongside AU-led mediation efforts in DR Congo and the Great Lakes region.
