Cape Verde : VINCI Airports launches $155 million investment plan after $87 million upgrade phase

VINCI Airports marked the completion of an initial €80 million ($87 million) upgrade and launched a new €142 million ($155 million), three-year investment programme across Cape Verde’s seven airports. Since operational takeover in 2023, passenger traffic rose 60% between 2022 and 2025, driven by 35 new routes and the entry of low-cost carriers. Phase 1B focuses on terminal expansion, higher capacity and environmental improvements to support long-term tourism and diaspora growth.
