Nigeria : Special Economic Zones generate $500M and 20,000 jobs in 2025

Nigeria’s Special Economic Zones (SEZ) generated over $500 million in export revenues and created more than 20,000 direct jobs in 2025. Coordinated by the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority and the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority under President Bola Tinubu, this performance supports export-led growth, industrialisation, and employment. Non-oil exports rose 21% to $12.8bn in H1 2025, contributing to a ₦12tn trade surplus and strengthening investor confidence.
