Remittances from Uganda’s diaspora reached UGX 6.5 trillion, or approximately $1.67 billion, highlighting their crucial role in the national economy. This growth strengthens the contribution of migrants to household incomes, consumption, and local investments, making remittances one of the country’s key sources of foreign currency.
