Eastern and Southern Africa : FDI hits record level in 2024 (UNCTAD report) 

COMESA attracted $65 billion in FDI in 2024, a 154% surge according to UNCTAD. Despite weakening global flows, the region strengthened its position in infrastructure, energy and greenfield projects, though five countries absorbed 90% of inflows and regional integration remains limited.
