On 1 December 2025, the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development opened its first regional office in Abidjan, following an agreement with the Ivorian government. The ceremony, led by Nialé Kaba and EBID president Georges Agyekum Donkor, marks a major step to strengthen the bank’s presence in the BCEAO zone and deepen West Africa’s economic integration.
