AU-EU Summit in Luanda : Agreements Strengthen Cooperation on Peace, Development, and Climate

In Luanda on November 26, 2025, the 7th AU-EU Summit brought African and European leaders together to sign agreements and reaffirm cooperation on peace, development, climate, migration, and industrialization. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reminded that the Global Gateway initiative had already mobilized €120 billion (~$138.8 B) for Africa. A permanent monitoring mechanism will track the implementation of these commitments.
