Rwanda–Uganda : AfDB commits an additional €217M to cross-border highway

The African Development Bank has approved an extra €217M for the highway linking Uganda and Rwanda, raising total project funding to €424M. The package covers interchanges, bridges and service lanes to ease congestion along the Kampala–Kigali corridor and sharply reduce travel time. The project aims to boost trade access, improve public services and create 1,200 jobs across construction and operation phases.
